The Process
Every installation follows a straightforward process designed for safety, reliability, and compliance with Oregon code requirements.
Below is a typical residential installation in the Portland area.

Before
Existing meter and supply line are inspected to confirm compatibility and determine if the install qualifies for standard pricing.

During
Gas is shut off temporarily while the valve is installed and the line is prepared for bracing.

After
Valve is installed and the gas line is braced next to the valve to support proper activation during seismic movement.
Why We Brace the Gas Line
Bracing the gas line next to the valve helps reduce accidental triggering and supports proper activation when the house moves.
Every install includes bracing — we consider it a key part of doing the job right!

Tesimonial
“Steve was easy to schedule with and led us through the scheduling process without complication. He told us what to expect and made sure everything was working well before heading off. I particularly appreciated the patient explanation he gave for not only resetting the earthquake shutoff valve but also how to relight the water heater pilot light. Very pleased to have had Steve’s help with our project!”
