We all want to make the world a better place. As a business, Earthquake Tech is doing its part by operating sustainably. We strive to do more with less, and we run the most environmentally conscientious programs possibles.

“Greening up” our business started by simply adopting an efficiency mindset. Now, we educate our employees and provide them with a standard operating manual that shows how to use less energy across the board. Savings start by making fewer trips around the job site. With this simple shift in behavior, we inherently use less electricity, conserve energy and produce less waste.

Education has been the greatest tool in becoming a “greener” company. Creating standard operating procedures around sustainability empowers consistency. At the start of each job, we review our green program and how to implement it. Such transparency encourages discourse with the crew and inspires them to take ownership of the program.

Construction inherently has waste all around it. Packaging, demolition, using products properly and efficiently, repackaging material for later use, lunch! By setting up a company policy for separating and sorting waste for recycling or disposal, we are taking a huge leap in reducing our footprint. As we practice proper use of products and product conservation, we move the needle further towards green living.
